Developing an alternative to leather and plastic

It has been quite a busy couple of weeks for us in the eco-lab. After numerous trial and error we manage to culture an alternative for leather, and even plastic, in our eco-lab. The material preparation follows a similar process to that of tanning of leather. However, the materials we use in the treatment and process is 100% natural. All colourants used are also 100% natural.

Our biomaterial treatment process uses minimal energy and very little water and we only utilise natural products (no synthetics).

We were unexpectedly amazed by the outcome of our trials so far. We continue with our laboratory testing.
